Are there any Hadith narrations concerning the Senna plant (Senamaki)? And what are its benefits?

It is stated in the noble Hadith (definition) that "You should use al-sana and al-sanut, for in them there is a cure for every disease except al-sām" which is death. Ibn al-Qayyim also affirmed their therapeutic benefits for many ailments. Al-sana is defined as a shrubby plant whose leaves and fruit are used as medicine, especially the Meccan sana, which is a purgative for yellow bile, black bile, and phlegm. As for al-sanut, some opinions state that it is honey mixed with ghee.
