From which of the two Miqats should one enter into Ihram for Hajj: the Miqat of residence or the Miqat of family, if the intention is to go to the family two days before Hajj?

If your path does not pass through a miqat (definition), then you must enter into ihram (definition) from the miqat of the people of your region. However, if you will pass through a miqat, you must enter into ihram from it, and it is not permissible for you to pass beyond it without being in ihram. If you do pass beyond it, you must return to it to enter into ihram from there, otherwise, a dam (sacrificial animal) will be incumbent upon you, to be slaughtered in Mecca and distributed among its poor. Some scholars permit entering into ihram from another miqat, provided it is similar to your miqat in distance from Mecca or farther, but returning to the original miqat is more cautious.
