ما هو الطريق الصحيح للجهاد في سبيل الله؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah commanded the believers to prepare strength against enemies, to memorize the Quran, to seek religious knowledge, to spread da'wah (invitation to Islam), and to engage in jihad of proof and clarification, in addition to military jihad.

Jihad also includes seeking beneficial worldly knowledge that the Ummah needs, which is considered a collective obligation (fard kifayah), and may become an individual obligation (fard ayn) for some students.

It also includes the struggle against one's own self (jihad an-nafs), which is one of the greatest types of jihad, and does not exempt one from undertaking other types of jihad.

Linguistically, jihad means expending effort and utmost ability, and it encompasses fighting disbelievers, and the jihad of the heart, tongue, wealth, and hand.

Seclusion is only permissible when there is fear of fitnah (strife) and no community or imam to wage jihad with.
