Is the apartment the right of the wife or the husband?

The apartment is the right of whoever owns or rents it, whether it is the husband or the wife. If the wife is divorced with a revocable divorce, she is entitled to residence in her husband's house during the waiting period (iddah), as Allah the Almighty says: (Do not expel them from their houses, nor should they leave, unless they commit a clear immorality. And these are the limits of Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself) [Al-Talaq: 1]. If the divorced wife is the custodian of the children, the divorced husband must provide suitable housing for his children and for her as a dependant of them.
