Why does the committed person fall into sin secretly and become addicted to it, while he calls on people to abandon it?

A person falls into sin due to desires or Satan, and a believer is commanded to resist this, for Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. A Muslim weakens before prohibitions when his vigilance over Allah weakens. Therefore, he must fear Allah and be mindful of Him in his thoughts, and be ashamed before Allah as he is ashamed before people.

A Muslim must make his actions consistent with his words and be the quickest to apply what he preaches. Allah has condemned those who enjoin righteousness upon people and forget themselves. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against those who enjoin good but do not do it, or forbid evil but commit it, saying that they will be thrown into the Fire, and their entrails will spill out.

Therefore, one must fear Allah, repent, abandon sins, stay away from places of temptation, occupy oneself with good deeds, and choose righteous companionship. One must also beware of habitually looking at unlawful images, as this darkens the heart, arouses desires, and leads to vice.
