Can Qiyam al-Layl be a solution for striving against oneself (mujahadat al-nafs), overcoming the whisperings of Satan and the memory of sins, after a period of estrangement from God and psychological suffering?

Among the greatest blessings of Allah upon a servant is that He grants them success in rectifying their mistakes and overcoming their shortcomings, and this is out of His mercy towards them. Continue in goodness and increase in acts of obedience, for indeed, good deeds efface evil deeds. Do not succumb to the whispers of Satan, and the sins of the past will not harm you with the sincerity of your repentance. Befriend righteous women, and frequently remember Allah, for indeed, it dispels the stratagems and whispers of Satan. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that whoever does not cease to remember Allah with their tongue will protect themselves from their enemy, for Satan crouches over the heart of the son of Adam, and if he becomes heedless and forgets, Satan whispers; but if he remembers Allah the Almighty, Satan retreats.
