Is a wife divorced 63 days ago returned by word or by a new contract and dower?

If the revocable divorced woman's waiting period (iddah (definition)) has not expired, it is sufficient to say "I take you back" or any phrase indicating reconciliation to return her to your marital bond. It is also recommended to have witnesses for the reconciliation. However, if her iddah has expired, or if the divorce was irrevocable (such as a divorce before consummation or an irrevocable divorce for compensation), then a new marriage contract and a new dowry are required. If the divorce was an irrevocable major divorce (the third divorce), she does not become lawful for you until she marries another man willingly and he consummates the marriage with her, then he divorces her, and her waiting period from him expires.
