Is it permissible to speak after the iqama (call to prayer) has been made, and is it permissible to repeat it?

It is preferable to refrain from speaking between the Iqamah and the prayer, unless there is a need, such as ordering the straightening of the rows. The majority of scholars view speaking as permissible, but it is better to avoid it. The Iqamah is not repeated due to speech that occurs between it and the prayer.
