Is the iqama to be repeated for prayer if the time between it and the establishment of the prayer lengthens, such as five minutes, along with mentioning the evidence for not repeating it?

The Sunnah is for the Imam to begin the prayer immediately after the muezzin finishes the iqamah, delaying only for the time it takes to straighten the rows. However, if there is a valid excuse that leads to a delay in the Imam entering the prayer after the muezzin has called the iqamah, there is no harm in that, and there is no need to repeat the iqamah. This is supported by two hadiths:

1. The hadith of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) went out to pray after the iqamah was called, and he was in a state of ritual impurity (janabah). So he returned and performed ghusl, then he led them in prayer, and the iqamah was not repeated.

2. The hadith of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Isha prayer was called, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood engaging in a private conversation with a man until the people fell asleep, then they prayed. This indicates the permissibility of a long interval between the iqamah and the prayer when there is a need.
