What is the ruling on throwing potato and eggplant peels and the like into the trash can?

The peels of vegetables and fruits have nutritional and medicinal value, and they are part of Allah’s blessings. Therefore, they should be appreciated, and it is forbidden to waste them when it is possible to benefit from them. If they are edible or suitable for any permissible purpose, they should not be thrown in the trash. However, if they are not suitable for use, there is no harm in discarding them.
