The ' (waiting period) for a widow is four months and ten days, based on the Almighty's saying: "And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - they, [the wives], shall wait concerning themselves for four months and ten [days]." (Quran 2:234) As for a pregnant woman, her 'iddah ends upon delivery.

If your friend is not pregnant, her 'iddah would end on the seventh day of Dhul-Hijjah, provided she observed three days of Rajab. However, if she only observed two days, her 'iddah would end on the eighth day of Dhul-Hijjah. It is preferable to err on the side of caution.
