Is it permissible for the wife to pierce her body (such as under the lip, the navel, the tongue) and insert earrings therein if the husband agrees?

It is Islamically permissible for a woman to adorn herself for her husband. Piercing the ear for earrings is permissible, and the women among the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) did this. Piercing the nose for adornment is permissible if it is customary among women. As for piercing the navel, tongue, and other body parts, the closer opinion is that it is forbidden, because it represents more torture and disfigurement than adornment, and because women generally do not need to adorn themselves in this manner.
