Is it correct to leave a job due to mixing with women and engaging in conversation and joking with them, in addition to leaving previous jobs because of the inability to pray in congregation or on time, or due to long working hours, or because the work is unlawful?
"Congratulations on your commitment. It is obligatory to abandon anything that poses a risk of fitnah (temptation/strife) to safeguard one's religion. It is possible to try to find a non-mixed work environment. It is recommended to supplicate in the last third of the night and after prayers. If it is impossible to avoid what is (forbidden), then one must leave the job unless there is an urgent necessity. Abandoning mixed-gender work is correct if one fears for their religion. It is permissible to leave a place that prevents congregational prayer if one is not harmed by doing so; otherwise, it is an excuse for not attending the congregation, bearing in mind that congregational prayer has its own rulings. However, leaving a job due to long hours is not appropriate; rather, it is more complete to persevere and strive to seek religious knowledge."
