Does the reward for a donation reach the deceased if the donation is from the donor's own money and not from the deceased's money?

There is no harm in giving charity on behalf of another, and the reward reaches the one for whom it was intended, if the money is spent on a charitable project such as charity (sadaqah), kinship ties (silat ar-rahim), jihad, and a righteous deed beneficial to Muslims.
