How can the hadith "The best of a man's prayers is in his house, except for the obligatory prayers" be reconciled with the hadith "Prayer in congregation is twenty-seven degrees superior to prayer performed alone," and does the virtue of congregational prayer include the Sunnah prayers, and does this apply to Tarawih prayer?

His (peace be upon him) saying: "The best prayer of a person is in his home" refers to the supererogatory (nafila) prayer. And his saying: "Congregational prayer is twenty-seven degrees better than individual prayer" refers to the obligatory (fard) prayer. As for Tarawih prayer, scholars have differed regarding whether it is better to perform it in congregation or individually. Other supererogatory prayers may be performed in congregation or individually, and some supererogatory prayers are recommended to be performed in congregation, such as the eclipse prayer (salat al-kusuf and khusuf), the prayer for rain (salat al-istisqa), and the Eid prayers. In summary, congregational prayer is better than individual prayer for the prescribed (maktuba) prayers (which is obligatory according to the most authoritative opinion), as well as for the eclipse prayer, the prayer for rain, and the Eid prayers.
