Is it advisable to remain in a country where one fears falling into disobedience, or to travel to a country that aids in obedience, taking into account the mother's desire for one to stay by her side?

If one is able to bring his mother to a country of righteousness, he should do so, to combine honoring her with preserving his faith. If he cannot bring her, and she can live without him, then he should remain in the country of righteousness, to seek the pleasure of Allah. But if he fears for her neglect, then he should stay with her with the intention of drawing closer to Allah, and strive to restrain himself from sins, and supplicate frequently, and choose righteous companionship, and distance himself from the instigators of sin.
