What are the signs of being cast out from God's mercy or of a person being cursed?

It is recommended to read books on encouragement and deterrence, and to research the causes of cursing and the causes of Allah's mercy to act upon them. Among the most dangerous causes of cursing are: disbelief (kufr), hypocrisy, injustice, slandering chaste women (qadhf), premeditated murder, severing ties of kinship, concealing knowledge, harming Allah and His Messenger, turning away from Islam, having ill thoughts about Allah, hair extensions, tattooing, cursing one's parents, sacrificing to other than Allah, sheltering an innovator, changing land markers, men imitating women and vice versa, and consuming or dealing with usury (riba).
