Is it permissible to invest donation funds in profit-generating activities, provided that the entire profit is returned to the charitable projects for the university community?

If the donors authorize the association members to manage the donation funds, and there is no immediate need for expenditure, and no restriction on the time or method of spending, then it is permissible to invest these donations in permissible and safe investment channels, unless they are from obligatory Zakat funds, as stated in the fatwas of the Permanent Committee and Sheikh Ibn Jibreen.
