When are deeds nullified when delaying the Asr prayer: is it when delaying it beyond its early time, or when its time expires with the entry of the Maghrib prayer's time?

Leaving the Asr prayer intentionally does not invalidate one's good deeds unless its time has completely expired, not merely by delaying it beyond its early prescribed time. Scholars have differed in interpreting the Hadith, and Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned that the closest interpretations are those who say that this was stated as a severe deterrent, and its apparent meaning is not what is intended.
