Leaving the Asr prayer intentionally does not invalidate one's good deeds unless its time has completely expired, not merely by delaying it beyond its early prescribed time. Scholars have differed in interpreting the , and Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned that the closest interpretations are those who say that this was stated as a severe deterrent, and its apparent meaning is not what is intended.
