Is it permissible to seek pregnancy with twins using stimulants and laboratory techniques for ova?

The general principle is the permissibility of striving to increase offspring, and the occurrence of twins falls under this principle. Therefore, there is no harm for a Muslim woman to seek to conceive twins through permissible means, such as using stimulants, medications, medical laboratories, and supplication. However, it is not permissible for this to involve a surgical procedure that necessitates exposing the 'awrah (intimate parts) unless it is a necessity and natural conception is not possible. In the case of resorting to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) with its conditions, there is no harm in placing more than one fertilized egg in the womb to create twins if no harm is feared from it.
