Is it permissible to take fertility medications that help conceive twins when there are already two children?

The Sharia (definition) encourages procreation, as stated in the Hadith (definition): "Marry the affectionate and prolific woman, for I will boast of your multitude before the nations." It also prohibits anything that causes harm, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There shall be no harm or reciprocating harm." Accordingly, if the medications and drugs used to stimulate the ovaries do not cause harm to the woman or the fetus, either currently or in the future, and they are taken under the consultation of a specialized doctor, then there is no objection to their use, as this contributes to increasing progeny.
