Will he who builds a mosque in his house receive the full reward for building mosques if his brothers share in the building and furnishing?

Building and maintaining mosques is among the best acts of righteousness and ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah). Allah Almighty has ordained a great reward for such deeds. The evidence for this is Allah's saying: "The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah. For it is expected that those will be among the [rightly] guided," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever builds a mosque, Allah will build for him a similar house in Paradise." And whoever participates in building a mosque will receive a reward commensurate with their participation, in addition to the reward for assisting others in righteousness and piety. If a person donates a sum for building a mosque, it is considered ongoing charity for them if their intention is pure and the money is lawful. It is preferable to participate in building a large mosque to ensure there will be no need to demolish or expand it in the future, unless the necessity for a smaller mosque is greater.
