What is the ruling on one who consumes his own semen?

It is impermissible to consume semen because it is impure according to the majority of scholars, and because it is repulsive and loathsome according to others, based on the Almighty's saying: "And He makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil." The one who commits this act must offer sincere repentance to Allah Almighty.
