Are there any hadiths in Sahihayn that indicate the delights of the grave?
The bliss of the grave is established in the Prophetic Sunnah, and among the proofs for this are:
1. The saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Hasten with the funeral, for if it is righteous, then it is good that you are presenting it to; and if it is otherwise, then it is an evil that you are removing from your necks." Scholars interpreted "good that you are presenting it to" as meaning that its state in the grave will be good and pleasant, or that it is an honor and reward it receives in its grave, or that you are presenting it to Paradise, so the first stage of its bliss is its grave.
2. The saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "When one of you dies, his place is shown to him morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise, then from the people of Paradise; and if he is one of the people of the Fire, then from the people of the Fire. Then it is said: 'This is your place until Allah resurrects you on the Day of Resurrection.'" This indicates that the believer's place in Paradise is shown to him so that his gratitude and joy may increase, and it is glad tidings for him and a comfort for him in the Barzakh (interim period).
