What happens to the pious in their graves?

In his grave, the believer enjoys blessings that extend until the Day of Judgment. These include furnishings and garments from Paradise, the opening of a door from which its breeze and fragrance come to him, an expansion of his grave, and glad tidings of Allah's pleasure and His Paradise. He is gladdened by seeing his seat in Hellfire, which Allah has exchanged for a seat in Paradise. He sleeps the sleep of a bride, his grave is illuminated for him, and his good deeds come to him in the form of a man with a beautiful face and clothing to bring him glad tidings.
