ماذا يعني "الملكوت" في الإسلام؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The word "Malakut" (ملكوت) is an intensive form of "Mulk" (مُلك - dominion/sovereignty), and it means: Allah's dominion and His majesty, similar to "Rahabut" (الرهبوت) from "Rahbah" (الرهبة - awe/fear). Arabs say: "My might is better than My mercy" (جبروتي خير من رحموتي). And in the Hadith: "The Possessor of Malakut (Dominion), Jabarut (Omnipotence), Kibriya (Grandeur), and Azamah (Greatness)."
