What is the meaning of the Hadith: "The most despicable name in the sight of Allah is that of a man who calls himself Malik al-Amlak (King of Kings), for there is no Malik (Owner/Sovereign) except Allah," especially the phrase "no Malik except Allah," given that the attribute of "King" (Malik) is mentioned in the Quran in reference to creation?

The noble Hadith (definition), "The most despicable of names in the sight of Allah is a man who calls himself 'King of Kings'," means that the lowest and most humiliated of names in the sight of Allah is one who calls himself "King of Kings." This is because this name signifies ultimate and complete sovereignty, a description that befits none but Allah Almighty alone, for He is the Owner of kings and kingdoms. Therefore, naming oneself with it indicates arrogance and haughtiness. Its claimant will be punished with the opposite of his intention, becoming among the most humiliated on the Day of Judgment. However, merely using the attribute "king" is permissible, as Allah has permitted His servants to possess what suits their human nature, and it has been mentioned in the Holy Quran.
