Is it permissible to use medications to stimulate beard growth for those who do not have one?

A Muslim should be content with the varying physical attributes Allah has allotted, as the lack of a beard's growth is neither a sin nor a defect. If this causes distress or a desire for a beard, there is no harm in taking medication that helps hair growth, provided its benefit is proven and it causes no harm. The Hanafis have stipulated the permissibility of applying oil to lengthen the beard if it is less than a fistful. Ibn Nujaym mentioned in "Al-Bahr Ar-Raiq" the desirability of oiling the mustache if not intended for adornment. Sheikh Khalid Al-Mushayqih holds the view that it is permissible to use oils or medications that aid hair growth in the beard or on the head, as long as they cause no harm, and this is not considered changing Allah's creation.
