How does Islam interpret envy and its effect on others, knowing that Allah says: "Say: All is from Allah" and "Say: I have no power to harm or guide you"?

This specious argument leads to the nullification of all causes. His saying, the Almighty: "Say: All is from Allah" clarifies that Allah is the One who linked causes to their effects, and causes have no power in themselves except through Allah's creation and power. Envy and the evil eye are among the causes; they affect by Allah's decree and destiny, not by themselves, as in His saying, the Almighty: "But they cannot harm anyone thereby except by permission of Allah." The belief in the existence of envy and its effect is not exclusive to Muslims. Scientific research has affirmed the impact of being afflicted by the evil eye and the existence of an unseen force.
