What if a believer does not wish to marry the Houris in Paradise and desires to remain celibate? And will Allah fulfill a child's wish to create an imaginary character for them in Paradise?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no unmarried person in Paradise, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Each one of them will have two wives, the marrow of whose shins will be visible from beneath their flesh. There will be no unmarried person in Paradise." What a person wishes for in this world may differ from what they wish for in Paradise, and one should not restrict oneself or burden oneself with what one has no knowledge of. If an imaginary wish is possible and has no counterpart in this world, Allah may grant it. However, the impossible will not occur, such as requesting to return to this world to be killed in the path of Allah after death.
