Can a Muslim ask for wives in Paradise other than the transparent ḥūr al-ʿīn?

Abandoning acts of obedience due to misconceptions about the houris is a grave error. Allah Almighty grants the believer in Paradise everything their soul desires and their eyes delight in. In Paradise, a Muslim will be married to his wife who was with him in this world if she is among the people of Paradise, and he may have more than one human wife. A Muslim should strive in acts of obedience and drawing near to Allah, for that is better for him than the houris, and it leads to Allah's love, seeing Him in Paradise, and the companionship of the prophets.
