Is it permissible to perform the Eid prayer at home due to a health excuse?

Scholars have differed regarding making up the Eid prayer for those who missed it. The majority of jurists are of the opinion that it is recommended to make it up at home, either individually or in congregation, without a sermon afterward. They base this on the hadith: "So whatever you catch, pray, and whatever you miss, complete (make up)," and on the action of Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him. The Hanafis disagreed with this.
