Is it permissible for me to pray and deliver the Eid sermon at home due to illness, in addition to the the long distance from the mosque?

Going out for the Eid prayer is emphasized. Scholars have differed regarding its ruling, classifying it as either a confirmed Sunnah, an obligation (wajib), or a communal obligation (fard kifayah). For someone unable to attend but able to hear the Imam's voice in their home, it is permissible for them to follow the Imam according to the majority of scholars. Attending the prayer is more important than hearing the sermon, as the sermon is a Sunnah that one may miss.
