Do the use of perfumes and deodorants containing alcohol affect the validity of the prayer or the purity of clothes? Does spraying them on the body invalidate the prayer? What is the ruling for one who prayed with them unknowingly?

Perfumes that contain alcohol (ethanol) are impure, and avoiding impurity is a condition for the validity of prayer according to the majority of scholars. Therefore, if someone prays with a garment or body defiled by these perfumes, their prayer is invalid, and these impurities must be removed before prayer. As for past prayers, there is no need to repeat them if the worshiper was unaware of the presence of the impurity, based on the hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, which indicates that not knowing about an impurity does not affect the validity of prayer.
