If the rhythms are repetitions and fragmented melodies by the voices of reciters (munshidin) without musical instruments, then there is no harm in them, provided they are within what is permissible. However, if they are sounds recorded on a computer and manipulated to resemble the sounds of musical instruments, then they are considered music, and it is forbidden to listen to them or produce them.
