Is it obligatory for a woman to untie her braided hair to wipe over it during wudu', or not?

For a woman, it is sufficient to wipe over her hair during ablution (wudu'), whether it is pulled back or parted. She is not required to unbraid or unfasten it if it is tied, as wiping does not necessitate the water reaching the scalp.
