What is the ruling on insulting scholars and preachers with abusive and derogatory terms such as (mangy dog, wicked, immoral, ignorant)? And what is the ruling on falsely accusing and slandering a preacher, writing books to attack and incite against him, causing discord and confusion among people, and alienating them from some preachers? And what is the ruling on a preacher calling for not abandoning art entirely, but rather presenting it in works that serve religion and endear people to it? And what is the ruling on producing Islamic songs with only tambourines (duffs)? And what is the ruling on the gathering of men and women in a preacher's lectures? And is it considered deception if a preacher mentions that our master David built Jerusalem after purchasing it from a Jewish man for an earth full of horses?

Whoever uses insults against opponents deviates from the methodology of the Sunnis and the Community (Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah). Claiming the necessity of clarifying opponents' mistakes does not justify insults or curses. Scholars throughout history have differed without disparagement or alienation. The believer and the religious scholar must possess purity of language and eloquent expression, as Allah Almighty says: (And tell My servants to say that which is best), and the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Insulting a Muslim is wickedness," and "A Muslim is not a curser, nor a slanderer, nor obscene, nor foul-mouthed." Moreover, insults among religious people alienate the public and cause them to think ill of preachers. Amr Khaled's tapes contain sincere emotion, attention to texts, and great impact. The existence of some objections does not prevent benefiting from him and praising him, while avoiding anything in his words or actions that does not conform to the Sunnah. Fatwas and jurisprudential rulings should not be taken from him. Also, mixing men and women in his lectures is not approved due to its violation of the Prophet's guidance in separating the sexes, nor is his endorsement of artists not abandoning their sins. Religion is advice, and if Amr Khaled were advised, he might reconsider these points of contention.
