Is a wife sinful for remaining silent about claiming her inheritance from her father, especially since her tribe's traditions consider a daughter's claiming of inheritance to be shameful?

Inheritance is a legal right for women, and depriving them of it is among the grave sins and pre-Islamic practices that violate Islamic law. Quranic texts have indicated the obligation of giving women their share of inheritance, and Allah has threatened those who disobey His command with punishment. It is not permissible for a woman to relinquish her right to inheritance except willingly and contentedly. Her husband has no right to prevent her from disposing of her own money. Whoever prevents a woman from her legal right sins in the sight of Islamic law.
