Is it permissible to slaughter the animal pledged as a vow now, and may the household partake of the meat from the animal slaughtered as a vow to Allah?

If a vow (nadhr) is an act of obedience to Allah, then fulfilling it is obligatory, based on the words of the Almighty: "They fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread," and based on the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." If the vow is conditional upon the occurrence of something, then fulfilling it becomes obligatory when that thing occurs. So, if the children pass the high school stage, it is obligatory to slaughter a sheep for each of them. Delaying the slaughter is permissible if no specific time was set for it, though it is preferable to hasten it. As for eating from the sacrificial meat of the vow, if a specific recipient was designated, such as the needy, then it is not permissible to eat from it. If no specific recipient was designated, then eating from it is permissible according to some scholars, but it is better to abstain from it to avoid disagreement.
