Is it permissible to dispose of surplus equipment received by an employee from the company, by selling or gifting it?

"The disposal of items in excess of a worker's needs in a company is subject to the company's terms and customs. If the company stipulates that these items should not be disposed of or that they must be returned, then disposal is not permissible. However, if there is no such stipulation and it is customary for the worker to dispose of the surplus in a way that does not compromise their appearance or performance, then there is no objection to that."
