As long as the main contractor provides equipment to the subcontractor free of charge for the workers to use, the subcontractor is not permitted to withhold it from the workers or sell it to them. If he sells it, the sale is void because he sold what he does not own, and the price he takes is unlawful. It is not permissible for him to keep the equipment to force the workers to buy it. If he does, the workers should file a complaint with the main company.

Regarding other items belonging to the company that are currently in possession, it is not permissible to take them and pay the subcontractor for them, as the disposal of company property must be done in the manner specified by the company.
