Is it permissible for a married man studying abroad, whose wife is not with him, to practice masturbation when patience runs out, especially with the presence of temptations in the mixed-gender university?

I remind you of His (the Almighty’s) saying: "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out." So, always prioritize fearing Allah and obeying Him. The most important advice we give you is to feel Allah's constant observation of you, then to lower your gaze, as He (the Almighty) said: "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do." And know that masturbation is forbidden, and it is not permissible for you to do it. However, if someone reaches a state where he must either commit adultery or masturbate, then he should commit the lesser of the two harms, while knowing that he is still sinful.
