Marriage is legally recommended, but for one who is unable to engage in sexual intercourse due to illness or old age, it is better for him to abstain from marriage, because it does not fulfill the purposes of marriage, and he may harm his wife and prevent her from being fortified by another. He also exposes himself to duties that he may not be able to fulfill. As for one who is healthy and fears inability to engage in sexual intercourse, he should not abandon marriage merely due to this illusion, and he can consult a specialized doctor.
