Rather, the criterion is the fear of falling into zina by not marrying. If a person fears falling into zina, then marriage becomes obligatory for him. Otherwise, it is commendable for someone who has desire and is safe from falling into the unlawful. If one cannot prevent oneself from forbidden gazes or masturbation, then marriage becomes obligatory. One should not use the excuse of fearing unemployment to abandon a commendable marriage, as marriage can be a source of sustenance.
