Is it permissible to make use of clothes with which one worshipped other than Allah during the period of apostasy?

There is no objection to benefiting from clothes gifted by an apostate as an offering to other than Allah. The conversion of an apostate to Islam nullifies his previous acts of shirk (polytheism) and apostasy. Clothes and similar items do not become unlawful based on the status of their owner or his religion; rather, they are like the clothes of other polytheists. If an apostate embraces Islam, the clothes he bought, gifted, or that were gifted to him during his apostasy remain permissible. Similarly, if he offered them to other than Allah and then repented, this act of his becomes void, and he is not required to do anything regarding his clothes other than invalidating the objectionable act. He is not prohibited from benefiting from them.
