What is the ruling on moving during prayer based on anticipating the Imam's movement, rather than after it, which may sometimes lead to preceding him?

The Imam is appointed to be followed, so he must be followed in the actions of prayer. The worshipper should not precede him or coincide with him, but rather follow him, because the letter "fa" (then) indicates sequence and immediate succession. Preceding the Imam or lagging behind him is forbidden, and if the precedence occurs intentionally, the prayer of the one who does it becomes null and void.
