Is it permissible to accept the university grant in the event of freezing the academic year?
The ruling on receiving a university scholarship while the academic year is frozen depends on the intention and regulations of the granting body. If the scholarship is disbursed to the student for the duration of his being classified as a student, regardless of whether he is actively studying or his studies are temporarily frozen, and regardless of whether the freezing is initiated by him or by the institution, then there is no harm in him receiving it. However, if the granting body stipulates specific conditions for entitlement to the scholarship, then the student is not permitted to receive it unless those conditions are met.
