Is it permissible for a woman to take birth control pills without her husband's knowledge if he desires more children and she is unable to conceive due to her age and illness?

If a woman is harmed by pregnancy, her husband does not have the right to force her into it, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There should be no harm nor reciprocating harm." Scholars have stipulated the permissibility for a woman to refuse intercourse if it causes her harm. Consequently, she is permitted to use lawful contraceptives to avert the anticipated harm from pregnancy, even without her husband's permission.
