Does suicide guarantee entry into Paradise, or necessitate eternal damnation in Hellfire? And is what was reported from Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen true, that the Muslim who commits suicide is destined for Paradise?

The statement that religion is the cause of deprivation is false; rather, distance from religion is the cause of all misery, and adherence to it is the cause of all good. Suicide is a grave and forbidden major sin, and its perpetrator is threatened with hellfire, as stated in the Hadith: "Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself, he will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down in it, abiding therein eternally forever." The suffering of this world cannot be compared to the torment of the Hereafter, and the bliss of Paradise makes one forget all worldly misery. One must repent to Allah and turn to Him, and not wish for death. Instead, one should say: "O Allah, keep me alive as long as life is good for me, and cause me to die when death is good for me." It is also advisable to consult a psychiatrist.
