What is the ruling on someone who gave his friend a game containing apostasy; does he become an apostate by giving it if his friend apostatizes by it? And will his repentance be accepted if he does not delete the game from his friend’s device?

It is forbidden to play with games that contain elements of disbelief (kufr) or forbidden matters. It is also not permissible to give them to others, because that which is inherently unlawful cannot be given. Giving such games to a friend is a grave sin, especially if it leads to their deviation or disbelief, as it constitutes an indication towards misguidance and assistance in disobedience, which is prohibited. "Whoever calls to misguidance will bear the sins of those who follow him." One must hasten to repentance and seek forgiveness, for "the one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin." Giving the game is not disbelief unless one intends to assist the friend in disbelief and is pleased with it. If one does not intend to assist him in disbelief, then it is a great sin that carries the burden of assisting in disobedience. Every sin committed by the friend because of it will be upon the giver as well, until he repents. If he repents, his repentance is accepted, and the sin is removed from him.
